Suburbs New Lynn Cricket Club (SNLCC) has a proud history of developing players from junior
level all the way through to the Auckland sides and some well-known Black Caps. As we evolve
our cricketing structure and re-shape our player development pathways for the future, we’re
seeking a passionate and skilled individual to join our team as the new Director of Cricket
(DOC).

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Develop and manage our club coaches, ensuring correct training and development
    programs are in place.
  • Coordinate and facilitate training programs for our volunteer junior coaches (i.e.,
    parents).
  • Oversee and support our junior and senior teams, providing coaching where needed.
  • Purchase & maintain club equipment, including balls.
  • Coordinate draws, cancellations, & results between team captains & PlayHQ.
  • Ensure relevant volunteers are up to date with police checks and NZC requirements.
  • Communicate playing systems (play HQ) & draws to all teams.
  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders including Cricket Express, Ken Maunder
    Park Trust, ACA, NZC, Groundsman, local schools, and local businesses.

What you will bring to this role:

  • Knowledge of cricket
  • Experience working with multiple coaches in a sporting environment
  • NZC Level 1 or above coaching certificate
  • Basic IT understanding. Ideally previous experience with Xero
  • Strong communicator, able to achieve consensus across multiple people and teams

Remuneration

To be negotiated based on skills, experience, and the final job description agreed but ranging
from $70-$90k PA plus the possibility of incentive-based bonus and additional coaching work.
